General survey of estates of Robert, Lord Willoughby, containing particulars of :-
Tenements in Sloothby to be disposed of by his Lordship during the minority of his brother, Vere Bertie.
Lord Willoughby's lands in Sibsey, Leverton, Wrangle, Fursney (Friskney ?), Ulceby, Wainfleet. All Saints, Burgh le Marsh, Winthorpe, ('Therhath bene a tenement hereon wch. John Bateman took down & caried away Quere quo Jure') Ingoldmells, Orby, Irby, Grebby, Stickford, Hameringham, Hareby, Claxby Pluckacre, Miningsby, Moorby (including copy of a survey temp. Henry IV), Upper Toynton, Carlton, Hagvorthingham, ('noate that the gadd is 9 foote), Maplethorpe, South Willingham.
'A noate of the Rates of Firsney' (Friskney), followed by some blank pages.
'The state of the Ferme of Mr. Phillips called Madisons Ferme in Fulstowe and Mershe Chapel'. (abstract of indenture, 29 Elizabeth: copy of "a terrer made in the Dutchesse's tyme', and misc. notes on the farm).
'A noate of such ymprovements as are made out of his Lordship's lands, synce the receipte att Thannunciation last past, 1609'.
Several pages torn out, followed by part of an account of wood sales (beginning lost) and another account for wood sold at Well Park, Nov. 30, 1610.
The rest of the volume consists of blank pages interspersed with misc. notes on the purchase and sale of property, rent improvements etc.
The main survey is very detailed, giving descriptions of the rooms in the houses, number and variety of trees, estimated and measured areas, details of sales and many other notes.
